About the Role
As a Change and Communications Officer, you will collaborate with senior leaders, business representatives and delivery teams at the University to plan and manage change and communication activities.
You will be a valued member of the Student Experience Value Stream (SEVS), a strategic partner driving system improvements across the student lifecycle from enrolment to graduation. Working in alignment with the Digital Master Plan, your aim will be to maximise outcomes for the entire ANU community.
Your responsibilities will involve creating and executing communication and change plans in coordination with delivery teams and stakeholders to ensure stakeholders embrace, adopt, and effectively utilise digital solutions and new ways of working.
Key Duties:
- Proactively manage and coordinate change and communications work including:
- stakeholder engagement and communication
- produce high quality plans and communication artefacts
- deliver activities that foster a sense of credibility and growth in the Information Technology Services (ITS) Division and ANU community
- Manage project communication channels, and identify interesting stories about the project successes and impacts.
- Work closely with the ITS leadership to run engagement programs and support the management of issues and crises.
- Identify opportunities for engagement programs for the University Community as well as establish and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as requested, consistent with the classification level of the position and in line with the principle of multi-skilling.
- Comply with all ANU policies and procedures, and in particular those relating to work health and safety and equal opportunity.
About You
We welcome applications from individuals who possess the following attributes:
- Possess practical experience in business change within an Agile environment, or equivalent education and training in a business change management environment.
- Provide advice on change matters to senior management and stakeholders to enhance organisational outcomes.
- Have proven project and change management expertise, including planning, coordination, and implementation using diverse methodologies as needed.
- Exhibit initiative, strategic thinking, creativity, and effective problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead, motivate, collaborate, consult, and negotiate with stakeholders.
